Overview

For those that loves to explore different cultures and sports, this program will allow you to explore the country through horseback riding, providing a unique opportunity to experience the beautiful sceneries Myanmar has to offer. Travel back in time to visit places that are well off the beaten tracks to have an unforgettable experience.

DAY 01

Arrival Yangon

Welcome at Yangon International Airport. Transfer and check in at the hotel. Orientation tour Yangon if time permits. Visit the colonial area, Sule Pagoda – the landmark of Yangon City Centre, Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image. Finally, visit Shwedagon Pagoda- one of the wonders of the world. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 02

Horseback riding

Early morning, transfer to the riding club and start the trek. Pass the Rubber Forest and observe the collecting of sticky from Rubber Plants along the outdoor trekking of Horse Back Riding and seeing the flat Rubber making process.
Visiting at Phar-out cloister (Meditation Center), peace and quiet place, to get the own experience of Meditation (Vipassana) about 15 minutes. The riders can enjoy Pann-ta-pwint Hill, where there is a magnificent pagoda and Monastic Education School which founded from Pann-ta-pwint Monk.
The last point is the Phu-Gyi Dam. The Phu – Gyi Dam still preserves all her charms of green land, fresh air and blue water. The riders can feel the peace of the nature and the breath-taking scenery of the Phu – Gyi Dam. After that drive back to YKKO Riding Club and lunch.
Back to hotel and leisure on your own. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 03

Yangon-Mandalay

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, transfer to Mandalay and check-in at the hotel. Boat excursion to Mingun (01 hour) along mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. During the river cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscapes of the river as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda – unfinished pagoda & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, the unusual Myatheindan pagoda. Cruise back to Mandalay and visit to the Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 04

Horseback riding

Transfer to the riding club. Riders have a chance to see and feel the nature of scenic beauty from Mt. Shin-Thu-Nge. Ride at the base of Mt.Tal and see the beauty of nature. And reach at Mt.Yea-Ta-Gon where you can see the monkey and the beautiful views of nearby mountains to the trailhead.
Visit to the Vipassana Meditation Centers (Mental Energy Research Institute) based on Buddha’s teaching by Horse Riding along the Outdoor Horse Tracks ways. So we can observe the technique (how to study) and get the benefits of Meditation in your own experience about 30 minutes at there. On your riding back to the Club, you can ride visit around the Yankin Hill.
Lunch with Myanmar Traditional Foods made by green vegetables at the Club. After Lunch see the display and activities of Horse Riding (real Myanmar Tradition) in Nature’s Life Equestrian & Country Club. Return back to your Hotel and free.

DAY 05

Excursion Amarapura, Sagaing & Ava

Excursion to Amarapura – an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries. Continue to Ava and visit by horse carts to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery – built by the chief queen in 1818, Nan Myint Tower – 27 meter masonry high, Bargayar Monastery – well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Amarpaura and enjoy the sunset by crossing Over U Bein Bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 06

Mandalay-Monywa (112 km, 03:30 hours).

Drive to Monywa and on the way visit Thanbode Temple – over 500, 000 Buddha images built in 1930, Bodhitathaung Temple – over 1000 sitting Buddha images under Bodhi trees (Ficus Religioso), Shwetharlyaung Buddha image, etc Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Overnight in Monywa.

DAY 07

Monywa-Bagan (290 km, 3/4 hours)

Excursion to Powintaung Caves situated in a cliff which houses over 400,000 Buddha Images. Proceed to Pakkoku, typical Myanmar village where we can visit the local market. Proceed to Bagan and check in at the hotel. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 08

Bagan

Sightseeing by Tuk Tuk begins with a visit to Tayokye Pyay for a first overview over the plain of magnificent Bagan. Continue to the colorful Nyaung Oo Market before getting an introduction to Bagan’s history at the Shwezigon Pagoda and its glorious golden stupa. Then, visit to nearby Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi, a cave temple with exquisite jatakas murals paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations.
In the afternoon visit to the Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple with two original standing Buddha images showing changing facial expressions depending on the distance the statue is viewed from.
End the day with a horse carriage tour among the temples starting at Ananda and passing Thatbyinnyu, the highest temple in Bagan, the massive Dhammayangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork and Sulamani. Moreover, enjoy the unforgettable sunset over the site from one of the open upper terraces in Bagan.

DAY 09

Horseback riding to Mt.Popa

Following breakfast an hour drive to the riding club situated at Htee pu village serving as an ideal base for horse ridings. Upon arrival at the club, start taking-hours horse riding to Mt.POPA. On the way take a short visit to places where visitors can spend their time observing the processes of making jiggery and tasting the fermented drink made from toddy sap. Standing away from the mass-tourism and off-the-beaten-track, this horse riding along the riding trail with an ideal mountain setting will provide the visitors unforgettable experiences. On arrival at See Pauk village, lunch at that village and transfer to Mt.Popa, an extinct volcano which is known as “Home of the Spirits” and observe the life of the rural area on the way such as producing the palm sweets. We may stop several places of making the photos and knowing the countryside. Upon arrival, climb up 777 steps to reach to the top of Mt. Popa cliff and you may admire the beautiful landscape and view to extinct volcano of Mt. Poop. Back to Bagan and take the boat ride on mighty Ayeyarwaddy river during the sunset time if time permits. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 10

Bagan- Kalaw (240 km, 7/8 hours)

Drive to Kalaw and we may observe the daily life of rural are at one of the typical villages along the way. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and leisure on your own. Overnight in Kalaw.

DAY 11

Kalaw-Htitain (Horseback riding)

Transfer to the meeting point. Upon arrival take a short time to warm our horses . From that point your riding tour start for 3 hour to Yae Cho village .On the way , one can see the wheat,ginger, potato plants.Lunch at Yae Cho monastery and take a short rest for our horses refreshment. After that, proceed riding to Htitain village ( Pa O village),where you will get the pleasant view of plantations and will have a dinner. Overnight at Htitain local monastery and get a unique experience.

DAY 12

Htitain – In Thein (Horseback riding)

Begin a leisurely morning of our horse riding tour with riding up onto some mountains. Mostly we will have to ride up along the riding trail. Travelling by horse riding is one of the most pleasurable ways to view countryside, passing ethnic villages that are usually off the tourist trail and through countryside that is seldom seen. On arrival at In Thein village, we end up our riding tour with refreshing our horses and having our lunch there leisurely. Check-in at the hotel and overnight.

DAY 13

Excursion Inle

Visit by boat to the local tribe market if coincides, In Thein Pagodas, Lotus petal robe & silk weaving looms at Inn Paw Khone village, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda the most venerable pagoda on the lake, Ngaphechaung monastery, etc. Overnight at Inle Lake.

DAY 14

Inle-Heho-Yangon

Transfer to airport for flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, , visit to Bogyoke market which is also known as Scott’s market [except on Mondays & Public Holidays], China Town, Indian Town, etc. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 15

Departure

Leisure on your own. Transfer to Yangon International Airport for the departure.
