Mrauk Oo, the lost city behind the western mountain range of Myanmar, offers historic remains that dates back to the 5th century. DAY 01

Arrival Yangon

Welcome at Yangon International Airport. Transfer and check in at the hotel. Orientation tour Yangon if time permits. Visit the colonial area, Sule Pagoda – the landmark of Yangon City Centre, Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image. Finally, visit Shwedagon Pagoda- one of the wonders of the world. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 02

Yangon - Sittwe - Mrauk Oo

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Sittwe. Upon arrival at Sittwe airport, drive to the last royal capital of Rakhine Kingdom, Mrauk-U by car for 3 hours (148km). It is very wonderful to visit Rakhine Traditional Longyi weaving center, Guwa Buddha images in a rocky cave and Mahamuni lord Buddha image on the way to Mrauk U. In evening arrive at Mrauk U and transfer to hotel. Overnight.

DAY 03

Mrauk Oo

Visit Mrauk-U local market to see ways of life and proceed to Paraoak pagoda, Minkaung Shwedu Pagoda which is closed by Paraoak Pagoda, Pesi pagoda with 5 stone Buddha images on the hillock since Lay Mro period, then the 16th century temple of Koethaung temple known as 90000 Buddha images temple, walk through Alay Zee village to discover the traditional hats, mats, baskets, fans making as home industries. Then lunch break and take a rest at your hotel. After Lunch walk through the maze like the Shithaung temple, known as 80000 Buddha images enshrined, built in 1535 with sand stone, looks like fortress with interior tunnel and stone carving relief, the adjacent Andaw Thein temple and proceed to Htukan Thein Temple & Lay Myat Hnar).
Enjoy the sunset from a small hill near Radanabon Pagoda / Discovery hill where one can see the very wonderful sunset and back to your hotel. Overnight in Mrauk-U.

DAY 04

Mrauk Oo sightseeing by car or bike

Start your excursion from Sakyamanaung Pagoda to Ratanamanaung pagoda. Then proceed to visit Thet tribe village to see the women wearing the big ear-rings and different ethnic group of Rakhine life-style. After that visit Letkaukse monastery to study the collection of Buddha images. Further proceed to Lawkamanaung Pagoda and Parapaw Buddha image to hear the very interesting history back ground. Walk in a village. In the late afternoon, visit the Archaeological museum and excavated Mrauk U Royal Palace site which is now only ground left, date back to the 16th century. Further proceed to Sandamuni Bronze Casting Buddha Image and monastery, Leksekan Lake with city gate, drinking water supplying lake for dwellers. Drive to Haritatung to see panoramic view of Mrauk U and to enjoy the sunset and return back to hotel and overnight. Overnight in Mrauk-U.

DAY 05

Excursion rural ways of life of Khami tribe and a palm tree village by bike

Start your excursion ways of life of Khami tribe by bike at their village and proceed to one of the prominence huge betel nut palm tree farm & villages. It is very interesting to see the their farm and ways of life which is out of the Mrauk U city as untouch. You will be very impressed by big betel nut palm trees plantation. At the front of village you could see some girls and ladies come and carry water with water pots from the common water pond. Walk in the village and tracing the tradition of betel chewing as betel nut is one of the role in our Myanmar daily life. Cross the creek on the hand-made betel nut palm tree bridge. After visiting return to Mrauk U and taking a rest at the hotel. In the late afternoon visit Setkyamanaung Pagoda, Radanamanaung pagoda and if time permit visit Thet tribe village where you can see the women with the big ear-ring. Enjoy sunset from Haritaung and back to hotel and overnight.

DAY 06

Mrauk U – Chin village – Mrauk U ( Chin village trip boat rate will be added )

Depart for Poe Phyu Kyun village and jetty by car about 30 minutes and then 2:00 hours sailing up by boat along very fantastic scenery up stream Lay Myo river to Pann Paung village. Visit around the village to discover very wonderful Chin ladies with tattooed faces with very beautiful exciting scorpion web Tattooed pattern and their simple ways of life.
In the afternoon, proceed to Cho May or if the tide permits, Kun Chaung village to discover some more Chin Tattooed ladies. There you will see an amazing beauty of river scene from the village. Return back along down-stream 2:00 hours to Poe Phyu Kyun village and drive back to your hotel.
Remark: Kun Chuang village is accessible only from Nov to Jan because of the shallow water. The other Chin villages along Lay Myo river are Krit Chaung vil¬lage, Sin Swe Gyo village, Pann Paung village, Cho May village can be visited in any time but due to the time permit.

DAY 07

Mrauk-U – Sittwe- Yangon

Drive to Sittwe and if time permit, visit View Point by the Bay of Bengal and detour Lawkarnanda Pagoda & Satkyamuni Buddha Image on the way to Sittwe domestic airport for the flight back to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and check-in. Leisure on your own and overnight.

DAY 08

Yangon - Bagan

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Bagan. Visit colorful local market, Shwezigon Pagoda-the glory of Bagan, Htilominlo Temple-the best pilaster carving, Nathtaukkyaung -monastery made of teak wood, Ananda Temple-the masterpiece of Bagan, Gubyaukgyi Temple-the best mural paintings of 11th century, Manuha Temple, Dhamayangyi Temple-the biggest temple in Bagan, Sulamani Temple-the 12th century temple, the lacquer-ware workshop-the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on the top of a Sunset Hill. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 09

Morning Cycling tour/Horse cart tour in Bagan and afternoon enjoy cruise

Visit of Bagan by cycling tour or horse cart tour. Bagan is the richest Archeological sites in Myanmar and once splendid and glorious capital of the First Myanmar Empire. It is the most amazing site in Myanmar as in every direction we look, we will see ruins of all sizes huge and glorious like Ananda soar towards the sky, and small, graceful pagodas & temples stand alone in the fields.
Explore unknown temples as addition to Tour Sightseeing in Bagan. Back to your hotel. In the afternoon around 02:30PM, transfer to jetty and take private local boat along Ayeyarwaddy River and cruise until to see Shwezigon pagoda and scene of Bagan. Then sailing down and stop at little village Selan, river village. Cruise back to Bagan, and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy a free day at Bagan and stay overnight in the city.
[OPTIONAL: Enjoy cocktail at sandbank near Selan village by enjoying marvelous view over Majestic Bagan of spectacular sunset].

DAY 10

Bagan - Heho - Pindaya - Inle

Transfer to the airport and flight to Heho. Upon arrival at Heho airport, Drive to Pindaya by enjoying the marvelous landscapes of hilly region with vegetables plantation, terrace landing cultivation, etc. Visit the Pindaya Caves – houses 8094 Buddha Images. And then continue to Inle Lake. Transfer and check in at the hotel and overnight at Inle Lake.

DAY 11

Trekking

Firstly, we walk about 01:15 hours to Htut I (Lower village) from Nyaung Shwe. Then continue walk for 30 mins to reach Htut I (Upper village) and on the way visit a small cave.
After visiting in the village, next 20 mins walk to Lwe Kin and continue to Kan Daw Village (about 20 mins) where we have lunch there. After lunch, next 20 mins to Nyaung Phyu village.
Finally back to Nyaung Shwe by passing through Phayagyi village , Malet Khok and Nan The Villages.
During trekking, we will see tribes of Pa O, Taung Yo and In Thar and they are earning by plantation of Cheroot leaves, Turmeric, Maize, Sugar Cane and Rice. Overnight in Nyaung Shwe/Inle.

DAY 12

Excursion Inle

Visit by boat to the local tribe market if coincides, In Thein Pagodas, Lotus petal robe & silk weaving looms at Inn Paw Khone village, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda the most venerable pagoda on the lake, Ngaphechaung monastery, etc. Overnight at Inle Lake.

DAY 13

Inle - Heho - Mandalay

Leisure on your own. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival at Mandalay Airport, transfer to hotel and check-in. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 14

Mandalay

Boat excursion to Mingun (01 hour) along mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. During the river cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscapes of the river as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda – unfinished pagoda & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, the unusual Myatheindan pagoda. Cruise back to Mandalay and visit to the Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 15

Excursion Amarapura, Sagaing & Ava

Visit to Amarapura – an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries. Continue to Ava and visit by horse carts to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery – built by the chief queen in 1818, Nan Myint Tower – 27 meter masonry high, Bargayar Monastery – well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Amarpaura and enjoy the sunset by crossing Over U Bein Bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 16

Departure

Transfer to Mandalay International Airport for the departure flight.
