DAY 01

WELCOME TO MYANMAR (ARRIVAL YANGON)

Welcome inside the airport terminal (before immigration & passports control)
Collect the passports and assist the arrival visa process.
The clients will bring directly to the waiting luxury air-conditioned coaches (they don’t need to wait for the visa)
Myanmar Ladies wearing the traditional costumes will offer the flowers with the accompaniment of traditional music for 30 minutes.
Transfer to hotel and introduction of the country by our guides.
Check in at the hotel and welcome cocktail.
Distribution of the room-keys immediately and guests make up refreshment.
Lunch at the hotel.
In the late afternoon, visit the colonial area, the Botahtaung Pagoda- the combination of stupa & temple, the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image-72 meters long huge colossal image. Finally, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda-one of the wonders of the world where we can observe the ways of life of Buddhists such as offering the water, candles, flowers, etc.
Back to hotel & leisure
Welcome dinner at the special venue of the hotel and overnight in Yangon.

DAY 02

YANGON-MANDALAY (01:20 HOURS). BELMOND ROAD TO MANDALAY

Morning, breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Mandalay.
Upon arrival, welcome by the ladies wearing the traditional costumes of the 19th Century Style (Mandalay Period) with banners & flowers.
Transfer to Amarapura (01:00 hour), an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory.
Transfer to the Shwe Kyet Yet jetty and board the Road To Mandalay.
Buffet lunch on board.
This afternoon, visit Mahamuni Pagoda, home to Mandalay’s holiest Buddha statue, and visit Shwe Inn Bin Monastery. Make a photostop at the south of the moat around the Royal Palace, with views on Mandalay Hill. Visit Shwenandaw Monastery. Stop to see stone carving (if time permits) and, later, to see gold leaf being beaten into wafer thin pieces (if time permits). Lastly, enjoy the sunset from U-Bein Bridge, which is over a kilometre long and made entirely of teak.
Return to Road To Mandalay.
Dinner and cultural show on board.
Accommodation on Road To Mandalay.

DAY 03

BELMOND ROAD TO MANDALAY

Breakfast on board.
Cross Ava Bridge, built by British engineers, to visit picturesque Sagaing Hill which is perhaps the living centre of Buddhist faith in Myanmar today. Hillsides are dotted with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Stop to see the silversmiths producing silver almsbowls (if time permits). Also visit the Zayar Thein Gyi Nunnery.
Return to Road To Mandalay for departure from Shwe Kyet Yet – jetty in the direction of Bagan.
Lunch on board.
In the afternoon an onboard program with a lecture by the tour guides, demonstrations of Tanaka and the famous Myanmar Longyi.
Dinner and accommodation on Road To Mandalay.

DAY 04

BELMOND ROAD TO MANDALAY

Breakfast on board.
Road To Mandalay arrives Bagan.
In the morning visit the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda, which is Bagan’s most important reliquary shrine – look out for images of the 37 ‘nats’ housed in a small hall. Visit Nyaung U local market and continue to Htilominlo, the last Bamar style temple built in Bagan, with old murals and friezes. Return to Road To Mandalay.
Lunch on Board.
In the afternoon, visit Ananda Temple, a whitewashed masterpiece of Mon architecture with four standing Buddhas, and the adjacent brick monastery from the Early Bagan era with well-preserved murals. Admire the fine stucco work at Gubyaukgyi Temple (Myinkaba village) and stop at a lacquer ware shop to watch craftsmen skilfully making this most famous of Bagan handicrafts. Continue to the village of Minnanthu to see how the local people live and see the sunset from one of the famous monuments of Bagan. Return to Road to Mandalay.

DAY 05

EXCURSION MT.POPA (50 KM, 2 HOURS)

Morning, breakfast on board.
Depart Road To Mandalay and transfer to hotel.
Drive to Mt.Popa-an extinct volcano which is known as “Home of the Spirits” and observe the life of rural area on the way such as producing the palm sweets. We may stop several places for making the photos and knowing the countryside.
Climb up 777 steps to reach of top of Mt.Popa cliff temple and enjoy the landscapes. Come down and transfer to Popa Mountain Resort for the lunch.
Back to Bagan and leisure.
Visit Minanthu village to observe the daily life of the people.
Finally take the boat ride on mighty Ayeyarwaddy River during the sunset time.
Farewell Gala Dinner and overnight in Bagan.

DAY 06

SEE YOU AGAIN MYANMAR (DEPARTURE)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
