DAY 01

Arrival Yangon

Welcome at Yangon International Airport. Transfer and check in at the hotel.
Then we head out for a tour of the city featuring the faded colonial architecture of the old post office, Sule Pagoda in the middle of downtown, the Strand road and continue walk to Mahabandoola Garden including the Independence Monument along the way. Then visit Little India and Chinatown, to see the colorful cacophony of restaurants, temples and markets in both. Afterwards we visit Bogyoke Market [except on Mondays & Public Holidays], where there will be free time to browse through the dozens of stalls and shops selling handicrafts and other goods.
After a visit to Chaukthat Gyi pagoda- a reclining Buddha Image of 72 meters long, we continue to Shwedagon Pagoda, a massive complex with 65 stupas providing breath-taking views of the golden stupa and the city skyline from this vantage point. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 02

Yangon - Heho - Pindaya (63km, 2 hours) - Inle (97km, 3 hours)

Transfer to the airport and flight to Heho. Upon arrival Heho airport, Drive to Pindaya by enjoying the marvelous landscapes of hilly region with vegetables plantation, terrace landing cultivation, etc. Visit the Pindaya Caves – houses 8094 Buddha Images. And then continue to Inle Lake. Transfer and check in at the hotel and overnight at Inle Lake.

DAY 03

Excursion Inle

Visit by boat to the local tribe market if coincides, In Thein Pagodas, Lotus petal robe & silk weaving looms at Inn Paw Khone village, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda-the most venerable pagoda on the lake, Ngaphechaung monastery [which is also known as Jumping Cats Monastery even though the cats are not allowed to jump anymore], etc. Overnight at Inle Lake.

DAY 04

Inle - Heho - Bagan

Transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, transfer to colorful local market, Shwezigon Pagoda – the glory of Bagan, Htilominlo Temple – the best pilaster carving, Nathtaukkyaung Monastery – monastery made of teak wood, Ananda Temple – the masterpiece of Bagan, Gubyaukgyi Temple – the best mural paintings of 11th century, Manuha Temple -huge Buddha Images, Dhamayangyi Temple – the biggest temple in Bagan, Sulamani Temple – the 12th century templethe lacquerware workshop – the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on top of a Sunset Hill. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 05

Bagan

Visit Lawkananda pagoda, which has the fascinating river view, Payathonezu temples with mural paintings, Nagayon Temple of 11th century, Apyeyadanar Temple with mural paintings, etc. In the late afternoon, visit Minanathu village to observe the life of people. Finally, we may take the boat ride on the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River during the sunset time. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 06

Experience the village life by excursion to A Nauk Ohn Village & Mt.Popa

Start the journey of experience the village life by excursion to A Nauk Ohn Village, outskirt of Bagan and stopping at toddy palm tree forest on route. After driving 20 mins from Bagan, there’s small valley which is appearing by mountain ranges of Tu Yin Taung. Then pick up by ox-cart by villagers at the valley and enjoying ox-cart ride to the village. Along the route, explore the scenery of dry zone, farms and also passing through forest of eucalyptuses is impressive.
Upon arrival A Nauk Ohn Village, welcome by villagers and visit in the village. It is charming village and mostly are farmers and cultivating of Peanut, Sesame, Bean, Seasonal crops, etc.
Explore their daily life and visiting their home in the village and chatting with them. Visit workshop of fried bean which is distributing as whole sales to other regions.
Visit school if we meet school time. Lunch in the village. Proceed to Mt. Popa-an extinct volcano which is known as “Home of the Spirits” and observe the life of rural area on the way such as producing the palm sweets. Climb up 777 steps to reach of top of Mt. Popa cliff temple and enjoy the landscapes, the panoramic view of extinct volcano. Come down and back to Bagan. Overnight.

DAY 07

Bagan - Monywa (290 km, 3/4 hours)

Overland journey to Pakkoku, typical Myanmar village where we can visit the local market. Proceed to Monywa and on the way visit Powintaung Caves, situated in a cliff which houses over 400,000 Buddha Images. Continue to Monywa and check in at the hotel. Overnight in Monywa.

DAY 08

Monywa - Mandalay - (112 km, 03:30 hours)

Drive to Mandalay and on the way visit Thanbode Temple – over 500, 000 Buddha images built in 1930, Bodhitathaung Temple – over 1000 sitting Buddha images under Bodhi trees (Ficus Religioso), Shwetharlyaung Buddha image, etc Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 09

Mingun Excursion & Mandalay sightseeing

Boat excursion to Mingun (01 hour) along mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. During the river cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscapes of the river as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda – unfinished pagoda & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, the unusual Myatheindan pagoda. Cruise back to Mandalay and visit to the Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 10

Excursion Amara, Sagaing & Ava

Excursion to Amarapura – an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries. Continue to Ava and visit by horse carts to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery – built by the chief queen in 1818, Nan Myint Tower – 27 meter masonry high, Bargayar Monastery – well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Amarpaura and enjoy the sunset by crossing over U Bein bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 11

Departure

Transfer to Mandalay International Airport for the international departure.
