Visa Information
Chinese and Indian passport holders are eligible to apply for Visa on Arrival for tourist visas currently. However, from October 1, 2019, a tourist from Italy, Spain, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, and Russia will be able to apply for Visa on Arrival. Citizens from 54 countries are eligible for Visa on Arrival for business visa and transit visa.
For these visitors, visas will be obtainable upon arrival at Yangon, Mandalay, and Naypyitaw International Airports.
The cost varies from $20 USD to $50 USD depending on the type of visa you apply for

E-Visa
- Tourists can get E-Visa through online services at the cost of around $50 USD at https://evisa.moip.gov.mm/
- The E-Visa is valid for 90 days, starting from the date of issue with a length of stay of 28 days within the country.
- The processing time is up to 3 working days. However, you may apply for a Tourist Visa Express Service that will get approved within 24 hours after submission
- Requirements for applying for a visa are:
- Your passport validity of more than 6 months at the time of entry
- A recent passport-size (4.6 cm x 3.8 cm) photo taken in the last 3 months
- A valid credit card (Visa, Master, American Express, JCB, or Ali Pay)
- Passengers with E-Visa are only permitted to enter via following ports
- Yangon International Airport
- Mandalay International Airport
- Nay Pyi Taw International Airport
- Tachileik Land Border Checkpoint
- Myawaddy Land Border Checkpoint
- Kawthaung Land Border Checkpoint
- Tamu Land Border Checkpoint
- Rih Khaw Dar Land Border Checkpoint
