DAY 01
Arrival Yangon and visit
Meet with our guide / representative, transfer to hotel and check in.
Walking tour starts with Colonial Area as the city featuring the faded colonial architecture of the old post office, Pansodan Street with Colonial architecture Building and walk up to the Pansodan Bridge to make good photos of colonial area and bustling street. Continue walk to High Court and Mahabandoola Garden including the Independence Monument along the way and Sule Pagoda, heart of City Center. Then visit Chauk-htet-kyi Pagoda; to see life like Reclining Buddha Image in guest-receiving position with Buddhist Monasteries around the Temple. In the evening, visit to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda; one of the wonders in the world and noted for its religious significance and artistic beauty. Enjoy the sun-set from the Great Temple. Offer the Planetary Post which belongs to your Birthday with water, flowers, candle lights, and incense sticks. Then back to Yangon and leisure. Overnight in Yangon
DAY 02
Flight to Heho, drive to Kalaw and visit Green Hill Valley Elephants Rehabilitation Center
Transfer to airport and flight to Heho.
Upon arrival at Heho, drive to Kalaw for 01 hr., then proceed to Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp in Magwe village for 45 minutes.
Welcome by our team and inform about project (necessary information about rehabilitation center will be given by English speaking staff). As well as safety instruction will be given before interacting with elephants.
Walk (5-7mins) to elephant village and see the life of mahouts with their families.
Time to introduce the elephants and feed them (daily prepared food). Then team will lead you go to the river where elephant bath and you can join for washing elephants like your owned pet.
Riding is not our main focus. We will let you be in touch with our elephants as Mahouts during the washing time.
Opportunity to help in our forest recovery project. You are welcome to join us by planting one regional tree for forest recovery efforts. (GHV team will assist for planting program).
Due to the season, we do not operate planting trees the whole year. But we welcome you to help in our seedling process for forest recovery program.
Lunch will be served at the main camp.
From the main camp, you can visit to our recycle paper project from elephant poo, and further learning elephant study with Skeleton.
You may able to have more information about elephants and forest (from our speakers). Then, you may explore around the forest area, opportunity to see butterflies, birds and orchids in our conservation area, if clients want to spend longer time in the nature. (by your owned exploration, if time permit).
Recycle product of GHV, from Elephant poo (paper making experience).
Then drive back to Kalaw, check in at hotel and leisure. Overnight in Kalaw.
DAY 03
Kalaw – Naung Tayar [2 hours drive]– Ngo La [2 1/2 hour Stop for the lunch] - Trekking to Saung Khar [2 hours]
Drive to the small town of Naung Tayar for 2 hours to start our trekking along beautiful scenery of seasonal agriculture in cool weather.
After 2 1/2hr trekking, we will reach Ngo La Village by passing through Pa-Oh Village where we stop for Lunch at a local family or picnic lunch.
After our lunch, we continue visit trekking until Saung Khar village where we take our night stop there. It will take 2 hours and we will stay at a house with local family.
You will have more experience from local family for the way of life of local people.
Overnight in Saung Khar Village.
DAY 04
Saung Khar – Naung Mon [2 hrs.] - Tharyar Gone [descend for 3hrs.] – Saggar
We will start our trekking to Naung Mon Village for 2 hours.
We will visit to Old Monastery in Naung Mon Village where we can learn monastic life. Then we descend for 3 hours until Tharyar Gone Village.
Lunch will be served at local restaurant in the village.
If time permits, we will visit to Thar Khaung Pagoda Complex and then take a boat to Saggar Village. Dinner and overnight at Saggar Village.
DAY 05
Saggar – Nampan [Cycling for 36km] – Inle, visit and Overnight
We will start our ride to Nampan Village for 36 km by passing paddy fields.
We will arrive to NamPan market and take boat to visit around Inle lake. Visit Inle Lake by starting visit to Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda the most venerable pagoda on the lake, jumping cats’ monastery, Lotus petal robe & silk weaving looms at Inn Paw Khone village, etc.
Check in at hotel and refreshment. Overnight at Inle Lake.
DAY 06
Cooking Class in Inn Thar House & afternoon visit Inle
Visit to Nyaung Shwe Market. Then take small boat to the place where we will have cooking class in teak house in Inle Lake, arrange by View Point Lodge. Private Cooking class in teak house where also have Tabaco is produce on ground floor.
Cooking class will arrange by the best cook from the View Point Lodge and we will prepare Shan Traditional 5 dishes.
Then we will have lunch on the upper floor with low table setting on the floor with triangles for comfortable sitting.
Lunch contains of cooked menu and also of traditional appetizer which are usually served in the restaurants. Back to hotel and leisure.
In the afternoon, enjoying canoe along Ywama Village by Inle Canoe Lady with exclusive canoe service in Inle, helping for the local community project.
Then back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Inle.
DAY 07
Inle – Mandalay – Excursion Amara and visit Mandalay
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Mandalay. Arrive to Mandalay and drive to Amarapura (01:00 hour), an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. And then proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hil. Drive to Mandalay and visit by Tuk Tuk to Mahamuni Buddha Image – one of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar. Continue visiting of traditional handicraft workshops such as, marble carving, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery- the finest of wood carving, etc. Finally enjoy the sunset on the top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 08
River Cruise to Bagan
Transfer to the jetty for the river cruise to Bagan. Leisure and enjoy the marvelous landscapes during the cruise. The boat may stop in some villages to get the local passengers up and down. Arrive to Bagan and transfer to hotel by Tuk Tuk. Overnight in Bagan.
DAY 09
Visit Bagan
Visit by Tuk Tuk to colorful local market, Shwezigon Pagoda – the glory of Bagan, Htilominlo Temple – the best pilaster carving, Nathtaukkyaung – monastery made of teak wood, Ananda Temple – the masterpiece of Bagan, Gubyaukgyi Temple – the best mural paintings of 11th century, Manuha Temple – huge Buddha Images, Dhamayangyi Temple – the biggest temple in Bagan, Sulamani Temple – the 12th century temple, the lacquerware workshop – the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on the top of the temple. Overnight in Bagan.
DAY 10
Bagan – Yangon & departure
Transfer to Nyaung Oo airport and flight to Yangon.
Visit to Bogyoke Aung San Market [Scott’s Market – close on Monday and public holidays] and around Yangon if times. Transfer to International Airport for departure.
