DAY 01
Arrival Yangon and visit
Meet with our guide / representative, transfer to hotel and check in.
Walking tour starts with Colonial Area as the city featuring the faded colonial architecture of the old post office, Pansodan Street with Colonial architecture Building and walk up to the Pansodan Bridge to make good photos of colonial area and bustling street. Continue walk to High Court and Mahabandoola Garden including the Independence Monument along the way and Sule Pagoda, heart of City Center. Then visit Chauk-htet-kyi Pagoda; to see life like Reclining Buddha Image in guest-receiving position with Buddhist Monasteries around the Temple. In the evening, visit to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda; one of the wonders in the world and noted for its religious significance and artistic beauty. Enjoy the sun-set from the Great Temple. Offer the Planetary Post which belongs to your Birthday with water, flowers, candle lights, and incense sticks. Then back to Yangon and leisure. Overnight in Yangon .
DAY 02
Excursion to Hmaw Yaw Gyi Elephant Rehabilitation Center and drive to Naypyidaw
Morning drive to Hmaw Yaw Gyi Elephant camp, about 3 hours drive from Yangon.
To enjoy Elephant Bathing (we need to arrive there not later than 8:00am and we should leave Yangon around 5am.).
Bathing and washing young elephants, old elephants, mother elephants and the calves. Bringing up of the young elephants.
Natural breast feeding, by the mother elephants to the baby elephants (if we have chance to see it).
And feeding to elephants by buffet style (Putting sugarcane, watermelon, pumpkin, banana etc., and feeding elephants) is also impressive and enjoyable.
Elephant show- also enjoy elephant playing football, elephant dance and riding elephant as a mahouts, etc..
Elephant riding – elephant riding by W shape cradle, riding by tying the cushion seats on the back of the elephant, riding around the camp, short trip about 1 hour in the jungle by passing through the creek, stream and walk up to the hill where we can enjoy panoramic view of surrounding.
(Remark: it is not allowed to ride elephant between 11am-3pm).
We can study natural forest plants including different species of hardwood, large forests teak wood (nursery), other valuable forest plants different life span (middle age – young age) bamboos, etc.
We can also observe how to communicate, between mahouts and elephants how instincts, how to train. Then proceed to Naypyidaw, check in at hotel and overnight.
DAY 03
Visit Naypyidaw and proceed to Mandalay
Visit around Naypyidaw including Uppatasanti Pagoda, Water Fountain Garden, Myoma Market and Gem Museum. Then proceed to Mandalay. Upon arrival, check in at hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 04
River cruise Mingun & sightseeing Mandalay
We may use the local transportation Tuk Tuk for the sake of environmental issues. Boat excursion to Mingun (01 hour) along mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. During the river cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscapes of the river as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda – unfinished pagoda & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, the unusual Myatheindan pagoda. Back to Mandalay and visit by Tuk Tuk to Mahamuni Buddha Image – one of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar. Continue visiting of traditional handicraft workshops such as, marble carving, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery – the finest of wood carving, etc. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 05
Excursion Amara, Sagaing & Ava
Excursion to Amarapura – an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries. Continue to Ava and visit by horse carts to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery – built by the chief queen in 1818, Nan Myint Tower – 27 meter masonry high, Bargayar Monastery – well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Amarpaura and enjoy the sunset by crossing over U Bein bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 06
River cruise to Bagan
Early morning, transfer to the jetty for the river cruise to Bagan. Leisure and enjoy the marvelous landscapes during the cruise. The boat may stop in some villages to get the local passengers up and down. Arrive to Bagan and transfer to hotel by Tuk Tuk. Overnight in Bagan.
DAY 07
Visit Bagan
Visit by electric motorbike to colorful local market, Shwezigon Pagoda – the glory of Bagan, Htilominlo Temple – the best pilaster carving, Nathtaukkyaung – monastery made of teak wood, Ananda Temple – the masterpiece of Bagan, Gubyaukgyi Temple – the best mural paintings of 11th century, Manuha Temple – huge Buddha Images, Dhamayangyi Temple – the biggest temple in Bagan, Sulamani Temple – the 12th century temple, the lacquerware workshop – the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on the top of the temple. Overnight in Bagan.
DAY 08
Visit Bagan
Visit by horse cart to Lawkananda pagoda, which has the fascinating river view, Payathonezu temples with mural paintings, Nagayon Temple of 11th century, Apyeyadanar Temple with mural paintings, etc. In the late afternoon, visit Minanathu village to observe the life of people. Finally, we may take the boat ride on the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River during the sunset time. Overnight in Bagan.
DAY 09
Flight to Heho. Drive to Pindaya (45 km, 01:30 hours) Proceed to Inle (97 km, 02:30 hours)
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Drive to Pindaya and enjoy the marvelous landscapes of hilly region with vegetables plantation, terrace-landing cultivation, etc. Visit the Pindaya Caves – houses 8094 Buddha Images. Proceed to Inle and on the way, visit Shweyanpye Monastery – typical Shan Monastery. Check in at the hotel and overnight at Inle Lake.
DAY 10
Excursion In Thein & visit Inle
Visit by boat to Inn Dein pagodas in ruins covered by trees and bushes, floating gardens, floating villages, Lotus-petal robe & silk weaving looms at Inn Paw Khone village, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda – the most venerable pagoda on the lake, jumping cats’ monastery, etc. Overnight at Inle Lake.
DAY 11
Heho – Inle – Yangon
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, Visit Bogyoke market [except on Mondays & Public Holidays] and Chinatown. In the evening, transfer to Yangon International Airport for the departure flight.
