DAY 01
Arrival Mandalay
Welcome at Mandalay International Airport and transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour in Mandalay start for visiting of traditional handicraft workshops such as, marble carving, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery.
Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 02
Excursion Sagaing & Ava. Enjoy the sunset at U Bein
Early morning leave for Sagaing (around 06:30am) and direct drive to the SMALL JADE MARKET in Sagaing and visit (Busiest time of Jade market is around 07:30am).
Continue visit KA NAR TAW Village where villagers are earning making Myanmar Traditional Toys and distributing it to the pagodas. We can see Myanmar traditional toys in every pagodas and which are attracting to the children. We can learn the process of making toys in the village (remark: workshops will be close on full moon day / Dark moon day and Sabbath days). Then visit KAUNGMUTAW PAGODA, Silver Smith workshop and then drive up to Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries. Visit Soon Oo Pon Nya Shin Pagoda where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill. Continue to Ava and visit by horse carts to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery – built by the chief queen in 1818, Nan Myint Tower – 27 meter masonry high, Bargayar Monastery – well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Amarpaura and enjoy the sunset by crossing Over U Bein Bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 03
Mandalay-Homalin-Htamandthi-Leshi by flight
Take a flight from the Mandalay Airport to Homalin. Upon arrival Our tour operator will pick up you to transfer to Homalin Jetty. Homalin is a remote, small in northern Myanmar which lies close to the India border, at the head end of a bend in Chindwin River.We will cross Chindwin river by flat boat. See panoramic scenery of Naga Hills along the road from Htamanthi to Leshi on your drive (43 Miles) through Myanmar’s north hills. Leshi (Ft .4, 443)is located in the far northwest region of Myanmar, it is home to the NAGA Tribe and is 25 kilometers form the India border.

DAY 04
Leshi sightseeing
Take an excursion to nearby villages after breakfast. Leisure and enjoy the village sightseeing by walk or off-road vehicles. You will get good opportunity to observe their ways of life, tradition, culture, custom and daily activities. There are numerous Naga hilltribes and their subgroups of Angkul, Nauk-aw, Laing Nang, Hyein Myay, Pain Kuu, Para, Makuri, Smmara, Pon Myo and Kyan Naga living in these northern hills. Return back to the rest place and dinner with same place.
DAY 05
Leshi (Opening Ceremony of Naga New Year Festival)
After breakfast, we will proceed to the Festival place to participate Traditional Pole Erection opening ceremony of 2019. You will see different Naga races on the same place at the festival. The festival is a social event, but is also to share previous year experiences and make plans for the upcoming one. They pray for abundant crop, good health of their domestic animals and for good weather. Another aspect of this festival is the family reunion.
After lunch, we take a sightseeing from Leshi, hike up to the Namiyupi village. The trek will take you about 1.5 hours atop the lush hills and provides incredible views of the Naga scenery. You will travel up 2,592 feet and back down 2,510 feet, as you become familiar with the rolling hills. Then trek from Namiyupi to the Ko Ki village and learn about a fascinating culture resistant to modern times. See women with faces covered in tattoos as you visit traditional houses and learn about the ethnic tribes’ way of life. Return back to Leshi and enjoy the dinner.
DAY 06
Enjoy Naga Traditional New Year
After breakfast, take your place on the festival grounds to attend the opening ceremony of Naga Traditional New Year commencing at 8:30 am. Amazing beauty of NAGA races in their colorful traditional cloths, different way of dancing and song in the day time, enjoy the Naga traditional food and rice wine and take part in the welcoming Naga New Year dancing around the bonfire at evening 06:00 PM. Dinner and overnight at the rest camping.
DAY 07
Leshi-Htamanti-Homalin-Mandalay by Flight
Depart Leshi at 4:00AM and driving along the forest mountain, Enjoy and refreshments on a four hours long shuttle boat trip with breathtaking views from Htamanthi to Homalin on the Chindwin River. We will serve breakfast box on board. Continue transfer from Homalin jetty to airport for your departure flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and check-in. Leisure on your own and overnight.
DAY 08
Excursion Amarapura & Mingun
Early morning, pick up at the hotel and transfer to a traditional Mandalay quarter to participate in SOON OFFERING. In the morning, monks line up along the streets to receive food donations from local people and it is nice sense of Soon offering ceremony with the good merit of local people. After that, back to hotel and breakfast.
Firstly visit Mahamuni Buddha Image – one of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar and then excursion to Amarapura – an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory and Shwer Inbin Teak wood Monastery. Afternoon boat excursion to Mingun (01 hour) along mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. During the river cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscapes of the river as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda – unfinished pagoda & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, the unusual Myatheindan pagoda. Cruise back to Mandalay and enjoy Sunset On Board. Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 09
River cruise to Bagan
Early morning, transfer to the jetty for the river cruise to Bagan. Leisure and enjoy the marvelous landscapes during the cruise. The boat may stop in some villages to get the local passengers up and down. Arrive to Bagan and transfer to hotel. Free time and overnight in Bagan.
Remark: If the weather doesn’t permit or due to lack of passengers, the boats sometimes cancel the trip [especially between April and September] and we might have to do it overland [about 4/5 hours]
DAY 10
Bagan
Visit colorful local market, Shwezigon Pagodathe glory of Bagan,Htilominlo Temple-the best pilaster carving, Nathtaukkyaung -monastery made of teak wood, Ananda Temple-the masterpiece of Bagan, Gubyaukgyi Temple-the best mural paintings of 11th century, Manuha Temple, Dhamayangyi Temple-the biggest temple in Bagan, Sulamani Temple-the 12th century temple, the lacquerware workshop-the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on the top of a Sunset Hill. Overnight in Bagan.
DAY 11
Morning Cycling tour/Horse cart tour in Bagan and afternoon enjoy cruise
Visit of Bagan by cyclying tour or horse cart tour. Bagan is the richest Archeological sites in Myanmar and once splendid and glorious capital of the First Myanmar Empire. It is the most amazing site in Myanmar as in every direction we look, we will see ruins of all sizes huge and glorious like Ananda soar towards the sky, and small, graceful pagodas & temples stand alone in the fields.
Explore unknown temples as addition to Tour Sightseeing in Bagan. Back to your hotel. In the afternoon around 02:30PM, transfer to jetty and take private local boat along Ayeyarwaddy River and cruise until to see Shwezigon pagoda and scene of Bagan.
Then sailing down and stop at little village Selan, river village.
[OPTIONAL: Enjoy cocktail at sandbank near Selan village by enjoying marvelous view over Majestic Bagan of spectacular sunset]. Cruise back to Bagan, transfer to hotel and free. Overnight in Bagan.
DAY 12
Bagan - Heho - Pindaya - Inle
Transfer to the airport and flight to Heho. Upon arrival at Heho airport, Drive to Pindaya by enjoying the marvelous landscapes of hilly region with vegetables plantation, terrace landing cultivation, etc. Visit the Pindaya Caves – houses 8094 Buddha Images. And then continue to Inle Lake. Transfer and check in at the hotel and overnight at Inle Lake.
DAY 13
Excursion Inle
Boat excursion on the lake. Visit to the local tribe market if coincides, In Thein Pagodas, Lotus petal robe & silk weaving looms at Inn Paw Khone village, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda the most venerable pagoda on the lake, Ngaphechaung monastery, etc. Overnight at Inle Lake.
DAY 14
Inle - Heho - Yangon
Transfer to airport for flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, visit to Bogyoke market which is also known as Scott’s market [except on Mondays & Public Holidays], China Town, Indian Town, etc. Finally, visit Shwedagon Pagoda- one of the wonders of the world. Overnight in Yangon.
DAY 15
Departure
Transfer to Yangon International Airport for the departure.
Remarks
- Recommended in January or February as this is annually celebrated in these months, but the dates may change accordingly to the lunar calendar
- We recommend combining this festival with other destination upon your choice
- Warm clothes are recommended as the average temperature is around 0* C.
- Accommodation will be on long huts as the area have no other infrastructure.
