AM 20 – RC 1 (09 Days / 08 Nights)
Yangon - Mandalay - Bagan - Heho - Pindaya - Inle - Yangon

rc1A journey on Myanmar’s Ayeyarwaddy River is one of the life’s great travel experiences. The river is honored as “Mother of the country” since it provides a lot of water to irrigate the rice cultivation and we used for transportation since several century. The landscape that time overlooked will remain imprinted in the memory forever.

Sightseeing and transportation by coach with air-condition

RV Pandaw was powered by a stern paddle, now replace by model engines. Conserving many original features, the comfortable cabins are added, with air-condition and en suite shower rooms. There is a spacious observation lounge in the force and dinning room at. An open observation deck extends aft of the flying bridge.

Finished in local hard works, and furniture with period pieces, the Pandaw will house the collection of historic prints and antiques. Promenade decks enable passengers to sit outside their cabins. The intension has been to create the atmosphere and character of the first classic river steamer.

Reservation policy

No reservation can be accepted without the payment of a deposit.
Final balances should be received by 31 days prior to departure, failure t pay may be treated as a cancellation and the below cancellation charges applies.

Cancellation charges

Up to 60 days prior days to departure: no cancellation fee.
From 60-31 days prior to departure: 30% of each cabin cancelled
From 30-21 days prior to departure: 50% of each cabin cancelled
From 20 days and no show: 100% of each cabin cancelled

Day 01 Arrival Yangon

Welcome at the airport. Transfer and check in at the hotel. Orientation tour Yangon if time permits. Visit the colonial area, Sule Pagoda- the landmark of Yangon City Centre, Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image. Finally, visit Shwedagon Pagoda - one of the wonders of the world. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 02 Fly to Mandalay. Excursion Mingun & Mandalay

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. And then, excursion to Mingun (01 hour) along the Ayeyarwaddy river. During the cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscapes of the rivers as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda – unfinished pagoda & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, unusual Myatheindan pagoda. Back to Mandalay and visit traditional handicraft workshops such as gold leave beating, stone carving, Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery – the finest of wood carving, etc. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 03 Embarking RV Pandaw. Visit Amarapura, Ava & Madalay

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Gawin jetty and embark on the Pandaw. And then, start for the tour central Mandalay visiting the Mahamuni Pagoda and Shwe-im-bin teak carved monastery. Ship moves to Amarapura where we rejoin the ship for lunch. In afternoon we explore the ancient capitals of Ava and Amarapura by coach or sampan visiting the teak Bagaya Kyaung, Menu Okkyaung and crossing the U Bein Bridge for sunset. Overnight on board.

Day 04 Saling and visit Yandabo Potteries and Oh Ne Kyaung Village

Breakfast on board. Sailing for the day and we stop at Yandabo a very small rural village that is interesting to see for pot making. We visit the Pandaw School and the new dispensary both built with past donations from Pandaw passengers. In the evening we cross the river to visit Oh Ne Kyaung, a very different village where we hope to build another school attached to the local monastery. Overnight on board.

Day 05 Arrival Bagan & visit Bagan Monuments

Breakfast on board. Arrive at Bagan and disembarking at bagan jetty. Transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit colorful local market, Shwezigon Pagoda - the glory of Bagan, Htilominlo Temple - the best pilaster carving, Nathtaukkyaung -monastery made of teak wood at the bank of the river, Ananda Temple - the masterpiece of Bagan, Gubyaukgyi Temple - the best mural paintings of 11th century, the Manuha Temple - huge Buddha Images, Dhamayangyi Temple the biggest temple in Bagan, Sulamani Temple - the 12th century temple, the lacquerware workshop - the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on the top the temple. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 06 Excursion Mt.Popa [50 km, 2 hours]

Morning, breakfast on board. Excursion to Mt.Popa - an extinct volcano which is known as “Home of the Spirits” and observe the life of rural area on the way such as producing the palm sweets. We may stop several places for making the photos and knowing the countryside. Climb up 777 steps to reach of top of Mt.Popa cliff temple to enjoy the landscapes & palin to Bagan. Come down and back to Bagan. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 07 Flight to Heho. Drive to Pindaya (45 km, 01:30 hours). Proceed to Inle (97 km, 02:30 hours)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Drive to Pindaya and enjoy the marvelous landscapes of hilly region with vegetables plantation, terrace landing cultivation, etc. Visit the Pindaya Caves - houses 8094 Buddha Images, umbrella workshop, which is made of pulp. Proceed to Inle and on the way, visit Shweyanpye Monastery - typical Shan Monastery. Check in at the hotel and overnight at Inle Lake.

Day 08 Excursion Inle

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Boat excursion on the lake. Visit Inn Dein pagodas in ruins covered by trees and, floating gardens, floating villages, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda - the most venerable pagoda on the lake, In Paw Khon village to observe the silk weaving & lotus petal robe weaving loom, jumping cats monastery, etc. Overnight at Inle Lake.

Day 09 Flight to Yangon. Departure

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit Bogyoke market [except on Monday] & china town. Evening, transfer to Yangon International Airport for the departure flight.
