This morning we are flying to Sittwe: the Capital of Rakhine State in the western part of the Country,and the place of Rakhine national race.It lies on an island at the confluence of the Kaladan, Mayu, and Lay Myo Rivers flowing into the Bay of Bengal.And it is also the Gate way City to the famous Archaeological site of Mrauk U: the last capital of Rakhine kingdom, which flourished for 354 years from 1430 AD to 1784 AD.
This morning you are transferred to Yangon Airport for your departure flight to Sittwe (about 1 Hr & 15 mins ).Upon arrival to Sittwe, you are welcomed by your local Tour Guide and transferred to Hotel. After lunch at a local Restaurant, a brief city tour includes; Maha Kuthala Buddha Museum: The most extensive collection of Rakhine-style Buddha images. The museum houses a grand, century-old British colonial mansion, collections of arts, bronze, notes and antique old coins from the Mrauk U and other ancient periods. Thet Kya Muni Temple: a huge sitting Buddha Image, one of the highlights of seaport town. Fishing Port & Fishing Village: The fishing port is one of the largest and the center of trading of marine products in Rakhine as well as in Myanmar. It is a very interesting market place to observe and study not only variety of tropical fishes and other species, but also local fishing systems and life style of the people. View Point & Sittwe Beach: The view point is the loveliest recreational spot in this sea-side town of Sittwe that generously serves anyone from various directions of the world with a wonderful panoramic view of sunset over the Bay of Bengal. Dinner in the reserved restaurant and overnight at the hotel in Sittwe.

This morning, after breakfast in your hotel, you are picked up & transferred to the Jetty to board in a leisurely Boat trip from Sittwe to Mrauk U, approximately 5 hour-boat-ride. Lunch is served on board. Enjoy your boat ride along the Kaladan River!
Mrauk U lies at the head of a tributary, Kaladan River, about 45 miles from the sea coast. The city was called by the European as “Golden City”. The crops never failed because of an annual 200 inches of rainfall. It became a transit point for goods such as rice, ivory, elephants, tree sap and deer hide from Innwa and of cotton, horses, cowrie, spices and textiles from Bengal, India, Persia and Arabia. Alongside Pegu and later Syriam, it was one of the most important ports in Myanmar till the eighteenth century. It was good commercial port during 17 Century trading with merchants from Portuguese, Arab, India, Sri Lanka, Spain, and Dutch. It was built as a Fort City by the kings of those days. Most of the Temples were constructed of hewn stone bricks, unlike the mud and clay bricks of Bagan. Besides the venerable pagodas, visitors of today can see city walls, moats, ramparts, watch towers and forts as the most interesting archaeological remains.
Upon arrival to Mrauk U, you are transferred to hotel in Mrauk U. After refreshment, your local tour guide will take you introductory tour of Mrauk U, which includes; Shithaung Temple, the temple of 80000 Buddha images, Htokekanthein Temple, built by King Minphalaung in 1571 A.D, Andawthein Temple, Yadanapone Pagoda, Laymyatnar Temple, and Harri Taung hill to enjoy the sunset over the plain. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Mrauk U.

This morning, after breakfast in your hotel, your local tour guide will take you on city tour of further exploring temples of Mrauk U: start visiting the graceful Koe Thaung Temple or temple of 90,000 Buddha images, one of the biggest temples in the Mrauk U, Archeological Museum & Palace site, and The Five Man Aung Pagodas, such as Mingala Man Aung Pagoda, Ratana Man Aung Pagoda, Sakya Man Aung Pagoda, Lawka Man Aung Pagoda, and Zina Man Aung Pagoda, built by a serie of Rakhine kings as astro-magical contrivances in Mrauk U period. Tour proceeds to Paysi Paya and visit a village of traditional weaving & fan production at the outskirt of Mrauk U, and in the late afternoon proceed to Harri Taung hill to enjoy sunset over the plain. Return to Hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Mrauk U.

Today, after breakfast in your hotel, we are going to take a day-return boat trip along the Laymyo River to visit the village of Chin Tribe where elderly chin women with traditional tattooed faces.

Leisurely boat ride (with service of seasonal fruits, drinking water, coffee, tea, on board) along the bank of Laymyo River around 8:00 am and to climb up to the Face-tattooed Chin villages (there is a series of villages namely; Cho Mrin, Pann Bound,  Kone Chaung ) around 12:00 noon, and study on the art and culture of Face-tattooing over the faces of Chin women. On the way, Lunch over the stone mat, a lovely place on the river bank on the way to and fro Chin villages, and passing through the small creeks and beautiful betel-nut plantation farms and villages.
This trip takes us the whole day starting from Mrauk U at 8 Am and arriving back at 5-6 Pm (approxi 3 Hour-boat ride each way) which is a worthy visit of cultural exploration.

Today, after breakfast in your hotel, check out your room and transferred to Mrauk U Jetty to board in return boat trip to Sittwe. Upon arrival back to Sittwe (ETA-11:00 am), transfer to Hotel in Sittwe and Lunch at a local restaurant.

The rest of the day is to explore Sittwe. Sightseeing highlights; the hundred-year-old Shwe Zedi Kyaung, a famous monastery in Sittwe. It was the monastery of U Ottama, who was the first political monk in Myanmar. Later on, visit to War Bo Village by speed boat to observe the amazing art of centuries-old hand-weaving centers of Rakhine, approxi: 1 Hr-boat-ride on each way. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Sittwe.

Morning time is at leisure. Later, check out the hotel and transfer to Sittwe Airport for your afternoon flight to Yangon. Upon arrival back to Yangon Airport, you are welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel. Check in at the hotel and end of the tour.
