Moulmein, officially renamed Mawlamyine, was in former times the British capital of Lower Burma, and is now capital of Mon State and in these days as the country's fourth largest city after Yangon, Mandalay and Naypyitaw. If you want to see past 50 years image of Yangon, visit Mawlamyine with its colonial buildings of Victoria period architecture, churches ,mosques and of course all Kipling's splendid old pagodas, overlooking the mighty Thanlwin River's scenic estuary and Gulf of Martaban. Hpa-An is the Capital of the Kayin State in Myanmar, where Kayin people ;one of the major national races live ,about a seven hours road trip from Yangon offers relaxation and the opportunity to explore the magnificent countryside with limestone caves, soaring peaks, and the authentic life of local people. Detailed Itinerary


Early morning, have breakfast at hotel and long drive to Hpa An: the capital of Kayin State, homeland of the Kayin people. Hpa-An is an energetic, friendly town on the banks of the Thanlwin River. The main attractions though are scattered around the beautiful surrounding countryside, making this is an ideal area for relaxed touring,288 km far from Yangon about over 7 hours. Along the way, sightseeing the authentic life of local people and natural beauties of the forest and farm.
Lunch at Sein Le Tin Resort near Kyaik-Hto. As approaching Hpa An, visit Bayin Nyi Cave and hot spring on the way. Arrive in Hpa An and check in at the hotel. After refreshment, visit to Shwe Yin Hmyaw Pagoda, Kyaunk Kalap; the column or rock, standing sheer out of a lake makes this monastery, pagoda and Nat shrine one of the most photographed spots in all Kayin State. Evening is leisure. Dinner at your hotel Restaurant and overnight at Hotel in Hpa An.

Day 2: HPA AN

After breakfast in your hotel, your tour guide will take you to Lumbani Garden & Mount Zwekabin: the tallest of a chain of limestone-mountains, 2372 feet is crowned by a stupa, said to contain a hair of the Buddha. It’s a long walk to the top so we recommend an early start. If you arrive by 11am you can witness the feeding of the mountain’s monkeys. The mountain boasts fantastic views over the Kayin country-side. Later on visit to Kawgone Cave; eight miles south of Hpa-An, the hidden gallery of 7th Century artwork within the cave. Thousands of Buddha images and carvings line the walls and roof of the cavern. The pagoda was first recorded in 1893 in an Archaeological survey of India Report. One headless carving of an elegant torso is believed to represent a queen who donated some images to the cave pagoda. Saddan Cave; this breathtakingly huge cavern contains a pagoda near the entrance with many Buddha images. Visit another famous cave in Kayin State; Yathe Pyan (Hermit) Cave and return to Hotel. In the evening, dinner at your hotel and overnight at Hotel in Hpa An.

Today, after breakfast in your hotel, we will take a Than Lwin Princess Boat to Mawlamyine: the capital city of Mon State, situated some 300 kilometers south-east of Yangon on the southern side of the mighty Thanlwin River, overlooking the river's scenic estuary and Gulf of Martaban.ETD-8:30 am, ETA-12:30 noon. Enjoy the scenic journey and the charm of Thanlwin River along the boat ride. Upon arrival to Mawlamyine have lunch at a local restaurant and After Lunch, Sightseeing highlights Mawlamyine Market and Kyauktalone Pagoda and  to enjoy panoramic view of the city and to enjoy the sunset from Kyaik Thanlan Pagoda. Evening at leisure, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Mawlamyine – Thanphyuzayet – Kyaikhami - Set-Se Beach – Mudon - Mawlamyine                                B / L / D

After breakfast in your hotel, drive to Thanphyuzayat; 64 km south of Mawlamyine, noted for Burma-Siam Railway called the Death Railway and the Allied War Cemetery. Tour proceeds to Kyaikhami Yele Pagoda and Set-se beach enjoy the amazing beauty of the bay of Mottama.
Going back way, proceeds sightseeing at Win Sein Tawya, the world biggest reclining Buddha image and visit to Mudon’s hand weaving workshops. Return to Mawlamyine for overnight stay.

DAY 5: MAWLAMYINE-KYAIKHTIYOE (GOLDEN ROCK)                                                B /L / D

Today, after breakfast in your hotel we are leaving Mawlamyine for Golden Rock: the Pagoda stands on a gold gilded boulder precariously perched on the edge of the hill, which is 1102 meters above the sea-level,93 miles (149 km) about 5hr-drive. Upon arrival to the base-camp, have lunch and transfer to a mountain-going truck to the upper –camp; an exciting truck ride up-hill in the rain forest will be a wonder. Upon arrival to the upper-camp, check in Hotel, rest for a while and Later, visit to the magnificent Golden Rock Platform. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Golden Rock.

DAY 6: GOLDEN ROCK-BAGO-YANGON                                                        B / L / D

Early morning, get up to enjoy the sun-rise. After breakfast, prepare to go down the hill. Upon arrival to the base-camp, drive to Bago: an ancient capital of the Mon Kingdom in 15th Century, situated 69 miles (110km) about  3 hr-drive from Golden Rock.
Upon arrival to Bago, visit to Kya Khat Wai Monastery to observe one of the three largest Monasteries in the country and the Buddhist monastic life, visit the magnificent Shwe Maw Daw ; over 2,000 years old temple. Have lunch at a local Restaurant and after lunch, Shwe Thar Lyaung (The reclining Buddha); 55 meters long and dating back 994 AD. Mya Thar Lyaung (The Colossal Reclining Buddha Image which was recently restored). Famous Kal-yar-ni Sima (Ordination Hall) with 10 huge Stone inscriptions. And Kyaik-Pun four huge seated Buddha Images in the open air. Late afternoon, drive back to Yangon. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Yangon.
