Extension Tours: EXT-05
A visit to a very popular pilgrimage destination of a balancing Rock ; which is situated on the edge of a hill over 1100 m above the sea level. A small stupa sits atop the Golden Rock, a massive, gold-leafed boulder delicately balanced on a cliff at the top of Mt.Kyaikhto. The atmosphere during the height of the pilgrimage season is charged with magic devotion, especially when the glinting boulder is bathed in the purple, sometimes misty light of dawn. Visitors can travel most of the way by truck on a road from the base camp to the top of Yatetaung Camp or Hermit’s Hill. On return home journey, we will drop in at Bago, an ancient capital of the Hanthawady Kingdom for many centuries under the Mon and Myanmar monarchs. We can say you will never forget about this trip!
